Caledonian Games

Welcome to Athena, Oregon for the Caledonian Games fun run.  You can choose from either a 1 mile run or walk, or a 5K run or walk.  The race kicks off a full day of Scottish celebration, called the Caledonian Games. 

The games celebrate Scottish heritage and traditions.  Enjoy the parade, Highland dancing, piping and Scottish heavy event competitions, sheep dog trials, clan tents, free entertainment,  vendors, Celtic story telling and harp performances.

The Games run from Friday, July 12 through Sunday, July 14, 2013.  Check out the official site for the Caledonian Games for further information.

7:30 AM All races start

COST

Registration is open and will end on Friday, July 12th.

The cost for the 5K is $10.00, on-line and mail-in.
On race day, 5K registration is $15.00

The 1 mile entry fee is $5.00, on-line and mail-in.
On race day, 1 mile registration is $10.00

Online registration ends promptly at 8:00 PM on Friday, July 12.

How to wear your bib

The timing chip is located on the back of the race bib #. Please do not remove this chip from your bib. Your bib # should always be worn on your chest. Here is a document explaining how to wear your bib.

CLASSES

Male/Female age groups: under 13, 14-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70 & up

AWARDS

5K, 1 mile runs: Trophies to overall winners and top Masters, with medals and ribbons to the top 5 finishers in each age group.
5K, 1 mile walks: Medals and ribbons to top 5 finishers in each age group.

COURSES

Due to on-going road construction on Main Street this summer, slight changes in the course might occur.

1 mile - start and finish at Athena City Park, follow 5K until 1/2 mile turnaround. Click on map for a pdf version.
